Dhruv Singhal, MD
Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, Co-Director of the Boston Lymphatic Center and Director of the BIDMC Lymphatic Center
Dr. Singhal completed all of his formal surgical training in Boston. He is Board Certified in General Surgery having completed his general surgery training at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Boston, MA). Dr. Singhal also is Board Certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery having completed further training in plastic surgery in the Harvard Combined Plastic Surgery Program. He then pursued a fellowship in adult craniofacial surgery at the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (Taipei, Taiwan) and microsurgery at the China Medical University Hospital (Taichung, Taiwan).
Dr. Singhal’s clinical focus is cancer reconstruction. Dr. Singhal is a pioneer in immediate lymphatic reconstruction for the prevention of lymphedema in high-risk patients and performs liposuction, lymphovenous bypass and lymph node transplantation for the treatment of chronic lymphedema. Dr. Singhal also performs the entire gambit of breast reconstruction from oncoplastic procedures to perforator flap operations (e.g. DIEP flaps).
Dr. Singhal’s research focus is on lymphatic reconstruction. In 2021, Dr. Singhal was awarded an RO1 from the NIH to further delineate the functional lymphatic anatomy of the upper extremity. In 2022, Dr. Singhal was awarded a U54 grant to lead a team to map the human lymphatic system for the Human Biomolecular Atlas Program at the NIH.

Carmen Anderson, MS, CCC, SLP
Reimbursement & Market Access Consultant
Carmen is a Speech Language Pathologist with a great passion for improving payer relations and patient access to healthcare. Her knowledge base is unique, as it provides a clinician and industry perspective.
In her time as a clinician, she worked in skilled nursing facilities to treat patients with Parkinson’s, stroke, dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, traumatic brain injuries and other conditions. When she moved into the DME and reimbursement space, she engaged with insurance companies across the United States to provide education and facilitate product coverage, favorably change medical policies, collaborate on securing and managing new contracts, and obtained multiple PDAC approvals.
Carmen is based out of Austin, Texas, and enjoys kickboxing, spending time outdoors and traveling everywhere from North Dakota to New Zealand.
Lesli R. Bell, PT, DPT, CLT-LANA
Owner, Timberlane Physical Therapy
Lesli Bell has always worked hard to advance and develop her orthopedic, subspecialties and manual therapy skills staying current in evidence-based practice and being innovative in the needs of her patients. In 1997, she was introduced to the world of edema and lymphatic disorders and quickly realized the importance of this information in many areas of physical therapy. She has devoted much time to studying and solving the complicated problems for this patient population and lectures extensively in the U.S. and internationally regarding physical therapy interventions for PT’s and other medical disciplines.
Dr. Bell has a specific interest in treating the breast cancer population and understanding the challenges that they have following the medical procedures that impair the lymphatic system and create scarring and other functional limitations. She has been very involved with the American Physical Therapy Association both in Vermont and Nationally since 1988, including serving as the Lymphedema Special Interest Group Chair for the Academy of Oncologic Physical Therapy from 2004 to 2021. In 2001, she co-developed the Bellisse Compressure Comfort Bra to meet the needs of breast cancer patients with trunk and breast edema. Dr. Bell is always very excited to have the opportunity to share her observations and innovative treatment techniques with her colleagues.
Dr. Bell graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1984 from California State University at Fresno. She completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Regis University in Colorado in 2013. She opened her orthopedic private practice in 1988 in Burlington, Vermont, which is still thriving.
Stefanos Boukovalas, MD
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
Since joining the University of Tennessee Medical Center, Dr. Boukovalas has led the development of the Comprehensive Lymphedema Service and is co-chair of the TN Chapter of the Lymphatic Education & Research Network. His clinical interests include oncologic and trauma reconstruction, microsurgery, lymphedema surgery, general plastic and cosmetic surgery. His passions involve innovative and cutting-edge surgical techniques, including DIEP and PAP flaps for breast reconstruction, neurotized free flaps, head and neck reconstruction using virtual surgical planning (VSP), targeted muscle re-innervation (TMR), and lymphovenous bypass surgery using super-microsurgery techniques.
On the academic side, Dr. Boukovalas has a strong interest in research, surgical education and contributing to scientific societies. He is involved in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery. He also has participated in several national scientific committees and served as a member of task forces contributing to guideline development and patient care quality improvement. His research is focused on clinical outcomes, healthcare disparities and guideline development. Dr. Boukovalas has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles along with five individual book chapters and presented research in multiple regional, national and international conferences. He has earned several prestigious research and teaching awards, including the Resident Alpha Omega Alpha, Outstanding Plastic Surgery Resident and the ASRM Outstanding Paper Awards.
Dr. Boukovalas was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He earned his medical degree at the University of Athens School of Medicine. After completing his Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, he moved onto a fellowship in Microsurgery and Complex Reconstruction at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Cheryl Brunelle, PT, MS, CCS, CLT
Physical Therapy Clinical Specialist
Cheryl Brunelle is the associate director of the Breast Cancer-Related Lymphedema Research Program, an APTA board-certified clinical specialist and certified lymphedema therapist at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Cheryl earned her physical therapy degrees at the University of Toronto, Canada.
Cheryl’s clinical focus is on oncology program and staff development within the MGH department of physical and occupational therapy, and the evaluation and treatment of patients during and after cancer treatment, for issues such as surveillance and early intervention for lymphedema, shoulder morbidity, and deconditioning resulting from cancer and its treatment.
Cheryl is a strong proponent of lymphedema screening as standard of care for patients treated for breast cancer. Since 2005, more than 7,500 women have been screened for lymphedema after breast cancer treatment within the MGH lymphedema prospective screening program.
Cheryl joined the Lymphedema Research Program in 2014, since which time she has published more than 25 papers. She has collaborated on multidisciplinary teams to update hospital policies including recommendations for receiving the COVID vaccine after lymph node removal for breast cancer, as well as collaborated on a recent white paper establishing measurement guidelines for lower extremity lymphedema in research studies. She presents the team’s research works regularly at national and international conferences. Cheryl’s breast cancer-related lymphedema research interests include early intervention, measurement, prospective surveillance, precautionary measures, and breast edema.
Mary Calys, PT, DPT, CLT, CES, FDNS, TPS
Senior Clinical Specialist, Tactile Medical
Mary Calys is a physical therapist with more than 22 years of experience as a clinician and consultant in a wide variety of settings including outpatient, acute care, home health and private practice. Through her years of experience, she has developed a passion for treating and managing lymphedema, cancer rehabilitation, complex geriatric and chronic pain populations.
In addition to holding a license to practice physical therapy, she is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) through Norton School of Lymphatic Training. Mary holds additional certifications that include Cancer Exercise Specialist through Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute, Functional Dry Needling Specialist through Kinetacore and Therapeutic Pain Specialist through Evidence in Motion/Purdue University.
She serves as a Senior Clinical Specialist at Tactile Medical. Her position provides ongoing clinical education and training to health care providers and patients in chronic edema, cancer survivorship, and pain management.
Windy Cole, DPM, CWSP
Director of Wound Care Research, Kent State University
Dr. Windy Cole is an adjunct professor and Director of Wound Care Research at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. She is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Wound Management. She has been a dedicated wound care advocate for two decades with interests focused on medical education, diabetic foot care, wound care, limb salvage and clinical research. Her passion to help others has led her to participate in humanitarian efforts including a medical mission to Jordan in 2018 to aid the large Syrian refugee population seeking asylum from civil war.
Dr. Cole is a wound care advocate on the forefront of wound research and was the 2020 World Union of Wound Healing Silver Medal Award recipient for her work in Technology-driven Research and the 2022 recipient of the Kaplan-Kanat Memorial Lecture Award. She is a member of the ACCWS BOD. Additionally, she sits on the advisory board of multiple emerging biotech companies and has been integral in collaborating on innovative research protocols in the space.
Dr. Cole also has published numerous peer-reviewed and industry articles on these topics and is a sought-after speaker both nationally and internationally. She is a feature writer for Podiatry Management and Today’s Wound Clinic, as well as a contributing writer for Podiatry Today. She is an Editorial Board member of Wound Management and Prevention, Podiatry Today, The Foot Journal, Wound Masterclass, Podiatry Management and Lower Extremity Review. She also is the Podiatry Section Editor for the ePlasty Journal and a Guest Editor for Foot and Ankle Quarterly.
A native Ohioan, Dr. Cole has practiced in Northeast Ohio for more than 22 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Cincinnati where she graduated summa cum laude. She is also an honor graduate from the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine.
Steven M. Dean, DO, FSVM, RPVI
Director, Vascular Medicine Program, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
Steven M. Dean, DO, FSVM, RPVI, is director of the Vascular Medicine Program, director of Cardiovascular Medicine’s Noninvasive Peripheral Vascular Laboratory and professor of clinical medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
His postgraduate training included a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in vascular medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Dr. Dean has published many articles and book chapters on topics related to vascular medicine and is a frequent lecturer at national meetings on vascular related diseases. He has co-edited three vascular medicine textbooks including the Color Atlas and Synopsis of Vascular Medicine (winner of the 2014 “highly commended” cardiology textbook award by the British Medical Association).
Dr. Dean is an examination writer for the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and is a board member of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society.
Robert Erkstam, OTR, CLT-LANA

Robert is a dedicated health and wellness coach, specializing in lifestyle redesign for lymphedema, weight loss and promoting overall well-being. He strives to empower individuals to not only manage their condition better but also thrive in their daily lives. Robert co-authored “Optimizing Lymphedema Outcomes through Lifestyle” with Leslyn Keith.
After graduating with Bachelors in Occupational Therapy in Boden, Sweden, Robert worked with traumatic brain injury and geriatric rehabilitation for the seven years. He became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist in 2004, and has worked with lymphedema and wound care patients for nearly 20 years. He founded the lymphedema therapy and wound care outpatient practice Self Care Therapy in Wilmington, NC, in 2007.
Jessica Wind Gregor, MS, CCC-SLP, BCS-S
Speech-Language Pathologist
Jessica is a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ, with expertise in diagnostics and intervention of swallowing disorders in adults. She is board-certified through the American Board of Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders. Jessica also specializes in prevention, management, and rehabilitation of speech, jaw opening, breathing and lymphatics in the oncology population, including alaryngeal speech and pulmonary optimization in total laryngectomees. She established the first Multidisciplinary Swallowing Clinic within the Mayo Clinic system with her ENT and GI colleagues for best collaborative care of complex dysphagia cases.
Jessica obtained her Bachelor of Science in Speech & Hearing Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2008 and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Rush University in Chicago, IL in 2010. She is a trainer for the McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program as well as a clinical mentor for the Med SLP Ed and associated certification program.
Matthew Gruskin, MBA, BOCO, BOCPD, CDME

Matt Gruskin leads the direction, strategy, policies and day-to-day operations of the business accreditation and professional certification programs at Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC). With a focus on credentialing program standards and the delivery of excellent customer service, Matt enjoys sharing his experience and expertise with audiences as both a speaker and an author. Prior to joining BOC, he spent 10 years in clinical practice, specializing in orthotics and prosthetics. Matt holds an MBA in healthcare from Florida International University, a post-graduate certificate in O&P from the University of Hartford and a post-graduate certificate from the International School of Pedorthics.
Linda Hodgkins, MS, OTR/L, CLT-LANA
Lymphedema Clinical Program Manager
Linda has been an Occupational Therapist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist since 1997. She is the Lymphedema Program Manager at Hartford Healthcare Rehabilitation Network in Connecticut. Her passion is to promote a higher standard of care for lymphedema services that is effective and evidence-based. She presented the keynote address at the 2019 Klose Lymphedema Conference on Program Growth through Standardizations: The Hartford HealthCare Model, and at the 2020 NLN Conference Dosing for Lymphedema Therapy: Treatment Protocols for Success.
The lymphedema program at Hartford HealthCare was awarded the designation of Center of Excellence for Conservative Care by LE&RN in 2020. Linda is a faculty member of Klose Training and Consulting.
John Jordi, PTA, CLT-LANA, CI, ASTYM
Physical Therapist Assistant
John received training as a Physical Therapist Assistant from St. Catherine University, Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1993. In 2007, he earned a B.S. in Business Administration (summa cum laude) from Bryan College, Dayton, Tennessee.
John has been a therapist for 27 years. For nearly 22 years he has specialized in the treatment of lymphedema. Currently, he is the Clinical Manager for Juzo USA. He also continues to work to work directly with patients and physicians in a vascular clinic, specializing in compression and difficult custom garment fittings. His background includes management as clinic director of a lymphedema program at benchmark physical therapy. Additionally he has experience in treatment of strokes, brain injuries, wound care and orthopedics.
John is also an adjunct instructor for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he teaches the lymphedema portion of the doctorate physical therapy program. He is a senior instructor for Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS) and has been with them since 2008.
John has been published 4 times and provides the clinical expertise for the research publications with Vanderbilt University and Western Carolina University. These articles have appeared in Radiology, Journal of Lymphoedema, and Lymphatic Research and Biology. John also consults with other universities and businesses in continued research related to lymphedema. John also offers no-charge seminars to therapists in his area on topics such as: difficult garment fittings, billing issues and wrapping techniques for therapists.
While John managed the Siskin Hospital lymphedema program, the facility was noted in two journals: MD News, for its inpatient and outpatient program, and Rehab Management Journal, for providing one of only two inpatient programs for Stage 3 lymphedema patients which he initiated. He also managed a free fitting clinic twice a month to any lymphedema patients who had need, he initiated a patient endowment fund at Siskin Hospital to assist patients with the cost of compression garments and he organized a support group for those with lymphedema.
John has had the opportunity to speak about lymphedema and compression at various national conferences such as: Juzo Power, Klose Training, National Lymphedema Network and American Vein and Lymphatic Society.

Linda-Anne Kahn is an Internationally trained Dr. Vodder’s Lymphedema Therapist, Clinical Aromatherapist, Board- Certified Massage therapist and Integrative Health Coach with more than 35 years of experience.
She is the founder and director of Lymphatic Therapy Services in San Diego and president of Beauty Kliniek Aromatherapy Day Spa and Wellness Center. She also is a co-author of the United States “Standard of Care for Lipedema” and the Lymphedema and Lipedema Nutrition Guide.
Linda-Anne is a regular presenter at national and international aromatherapy and lymphatic conferences, as well as for Juzo Academy.
Guenter Klose, MLD/CDT Certified Instructor, CLT-LANA
Founder of Klose Training & Consulting, LLC
Guenter Klose received his initial Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) training in 1984 at the Foeldi Clinic in Hinterzarten, Germany. Specializing in the treatment of Lymphedema, he became certified in 1987 as an instructor for MLD/CDT by the German Massage Therapy and Physical Therapy Association and continued working as instructor at the Foeldi Schools in Freiburg and Munich, Germany.
In 1990, Guenter came to the United States to assist Dr. Robert Lerner in establishing the first CDT treatment center for lymphedema patients located in New York City. Guenter’s work was instrumental in establishing the field of lymphedema therapy and training in the U.S. He assisted in opening numerous lymphedema treatment centers on the East Coast.
In 2003, Guenter established his own lymphedema training and consulting company, an organization dedicated to providing the highest quality lymphedema therapy training available. Guenter has facilitated the training of hundreds of lymphedema therapists from across the country and abroad.
Guenter has lectured extensively in the United States, Europe, and South America. His activities include presentations at the National Lymphedema Network Conferences, lecturing at physicians’ meetings in a large number of hospitals, as well as numerous lymphedema support groups across the country. He is the Program Director of the biannual Klose Training & Consulting Lymphedema Conference. Here in the U.S., Guenter actively treats lymphedema patients and teaches classes for MLD/CDT several times a year.
Guenter was a founding member of the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) and served on the LANA Board of Directors from 1999-2004.
Céline Koryzma, PhD
Registered Psychologist
Dr. Koryzma is a clinical health psychologist in the Endocrinology and Metabolism Program within Alberta Health Services in Calgary, AB. She works with an interdisciplinary team to help patients with chronic health conditions make sustainable health behavior changes. Dr. Koryzma’s background includes advanced training in interpersonal and health psychology. She received her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Victoria in 2013 and completed a portion of her residency training with the Calgary Adult Bariatric Surgery Clinic. She was previously employed as medical psychologist for the Pediatric Centre for Weight and Health at the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Koryzma is also a Clinical Lecturer for the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Calgary where she teaches about communication skills and mental health treatment in primary care. Her clinical interests include the psychosocial determinants of diabetes and cardiometabolic risk and the role of motivational and relationship-centered interventions in behavior change.
Sharon Delaney McCloud, CDE®
Emmy Award Winning Journalist, Breast Cancer Survivor and Bereaved Parent
As a breast cancer survivor and women’s health and business advocate, Sharon Delaney McCloud, CDE, moves audiences to action by encouraging their own efforts to manage their physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Humor, inspiration and a practical playbook punctuate Sharon’s keynotes and workshops. She engages people with stories that require self-assessment and then ideas to contemplate long after the program ends.
Sharon spent 25 years as an Emmy Award-winning television journalist covering everything from NASA to politics to the Super Bowl at stations across the country. One of her favorite assignments was hosting Rex On Call, a monthly television show for UNC Health where education was the focus so people could equip themselves to make better decisions about their well-being. Six months after Sharon anchored a show about beating breast cancer, she was diagnosed herself and began the journey through chemotherapy, surgery, radiation and a year-long clinical trial.
Today, Sharon is a professional speaker and a partner and vice president of Professional Development at Walk West in Raleigh, North Carolina, where her passion is helping people harness the spoken word. What we say matters in business and life. From Fortune 100 boardrooms to the green room at Good Morning America to lecture halls of top-tier universities, Sharon is a trusted partner in developing people’s communication prowess.
Sharon has been featured in numerous publications, including Sheryl Sandburg’s Option B digital platform, Enterprising Women and is co-author of the book, Keep Going, Memoirs of Strength, Courage & Perseverance. She was selected for the Best of KNOW Book, recognizing top professional women from across North America featured in the KNOW Women network. Tara Newberry, COTA/L, CLT, OCC
Oncology Rehabilitation Coordinator, Carilion Clinic
Tara is a seasoned healthcare professional with more than 24 years of experience in the rehabilitation field. I have dedicated my career to advancing rehabilitation therapy and improving patient outcomes. Her extensive career spans various roles, including serving in management roles, program building, research, marketing, public speaking, community engagement leader and collaborating to build best practices in multiple healthcare arenas.
Starting as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant in 2000, Tara continued to hone her skills, achieving certification as a Massage Therapist from the Virginia School of Massage in 2001. She received her Lymphedema Therapist Certification in 2013 and became a Certified Oncology Care Therapist in 2014. She finds that her exemplary skills lie in manual therapy and mentoring.
She found her passion and her journey continued with significant contributions in lymphedema and oncology program development at HCA Lewis Gale from 2012 to 2020 as the Oncology Rehabilitation Representative and presently at Carilion Clinic since August 2020 as the Oncology Rehabilitation Coordinator. In her role as the Oncology Rehabilitation Coordinator at Carilion Clinic, she is instrumental in developing a comprehensive Oncology Rehabilitation Program. Her responsibilities range from creating clinical pathways for cancer-specific diagnoses, collaborating with industry leaders, mentoring and educating clinicians, development of patient and clinician education and ensuring compliance with accreditation guidelines.
With a dedication to research and with multiple publications, she is participating in groundbreaking studies, including experimental trials using complete decongestive therapy techniques to show a decrease in inflammatory markers and how a various array of treatment modalities disperse fluid at different levels in human tissues.
Vicki Ralph, MPPA, OTR/L, CLT-LANA
OT Clinical Specialist, University of Colorado Hospital
Vicki Ralph holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy Administration/Healthcare Management from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She has experience working in acute care hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient settings in Wisconsin, Washington D.C., Maryland, and Colorado.
Vicki received certification in Lymphedema Management in 2005, and in 2007, completed certification through the Lymphedema Association of North America (LANA). In 2011, Vicki attended an advanced lymphedema course at the world-renowned Foeldi Clinic in Germany.
In April 2016, Vicki joined UCHealth. In 2021, Vicki and two colleagues applied for and received an award for the University of Colorado Hospital system to be acknowledged as a LE&RN Lymphedema Network of Excellence. This award pulls together the lymphatic disease accomplishments of Rehabilitation, Surgery, Imaging, Research, Genetics and Community outreach throughout the state of Colorado. This achievement ignites the ongoing passion to build and improve UCHealth’ s services for lymphatic diseases.
Vicki has served as a course instructor for Klose Training and Consulting since 2010. She teaches Lymphedema Therapy Certification all over the USA. In addition, Vicki has also traveled to Malaysia to teach both basic and advanced lymphedema therapy courses to health professionals in that country.
Vicki is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals. Her primary focus has focused on education: 1. Educating patients to become independent in managing swelling associated with lymphedema, surgery, trauma, and/or obesity, 2. Educating physicians and healthcare providers on lymphatic disease diagnosis and treatment updates and 3. Educating and mentoring fellow CLTs to keep their skills current, consistent and effective.
Linda Roherty, CLT-LANA
Associate Instructor for Lymphedema Therapy Certification, Klose Training
Linda took her initial lymphedema therapy training in 1998 and since then has amassed additional hours of specialty training in lymphatic disorders. Throughout her career, Linda has focused on patient treatment and educating the medical community on lymphatic disorders and patient treatments. In 1998, she worked at Sherman Hospital for 10 years with an emphasis in lymphedema and wound care. In 2008, she joined Presence St. Joseph Hospital to develop the oncology rehabilitation program with special attention on lymphedema. Linda returned to Advocate Sherman Hospital from 2017-2019, where she focused on standards of care for oncology rehabilitation and lymphedema treatment. In 2019, Linda joined HCA StoneCrest Medical Center’s team of lymphedema and oncology rehabilitation therapists to be part of a center of excellence.
Linda joined Klose Norton Training & Consulting, LLC in 2000 as an Associate Instructor for Lymphedema Therapy Certification courses and taught for three years. In 2005, she rejoined Klose Training and continues to teach nationally and internationally.
Linda earned her CLT-LANA credentials in May 2001. She was elected to the Lymphology Association of North America’s Board of Directors in 2000, acted as Vice President of LANA from 2002–2005, and served as Secretary from 2010-2014. She also is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, its Acute Care & Oncology section and the National Lymphedema Network.
Linda lectures nationally and internationally on lymphedema and oncology rehabilitation. She is an important resource to many therapists who are setting up lymphedema programs or needing assistance with difficult-to-treat patients. She is a 1989 graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Physical Therapy.
Kathleen Shillue, DPT, OCS, CLT-LANA

Kathleen is the Clinical Director of the Outpatient Rehabilitation Services at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Director of Lymphatic Therapy at the Boston Lymphatic Center. She is a LANA-certified lymphedema therapist and a physical therapy board certified orthopedic clinical specialist. She received a BS degree in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She has more than 30 years of experience as a physical therapist and works exclusively with lymphedema patients.
Joshua Trock, DPT, CLT-LANA
Doctor of Physical Therapy and Lymphedema
Joshua Trock is the Doctor of Physical Therapy and Lymphedema Specialist at San Antonio’s leading vein treatment center, Medical Vein Clinic. He has more than a decade of experience caring for patients suffering from various forms of lymphatic disease. He is passionate about creating novel and adaptive plans of care that positively impact the socioeconomic, emotional, and relational outcomes for lymphedema and lipedema patients and their caregivers.
After receiving his doctorate in Physical Therapy from UT Health San Antonio in 2011, he went on to complete his CLT with Klose Lymphedema Training that same year. Joshua developed the first and only in-home lymphedema treatment program in South Texas. During his work with a locally owned home health company, he grew the program, training a large team of treating therapists to care for hundreds of patients throughout multiple counties. Through this volume and assortment of cases, he developed and optimized the best practices for the diversity of venous-lymphatic disorders along with associated wound care.
Joshua is accredited with the Lymphedema Association of North America (LANA), certified as an Edema Wound Specialist through Norton Lymphedema Training, certified as an Exercise Expert for Aging Adults through the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy, and certified through APCA for diagnostic ultrasound physics.
Jodi Winicour, PT, CMT, CLT-LANA
Course Instructor, Physical Therapist, Klose Training and Consulting
Jodi Winicour graduated from Indiana University’s Physical Therapy program in 1993 and received her massage therapy certification in 1997 from Michigan’s Health Enrichment Center. Initially practicing general orthopedic physical therapy at Community Hospital East’s Outpatient Physical Therapy Department in Indianapolis, Indiana, she began specializing in the treatment of cancer patients in 1998 and lectured for the Physical Therapy Department of Indiana University.
Jodi was certified as an MLD/CDT Therapist by Klose Norton Training & Consulting in 1998. She received her CLT-LANA Certification in October, 2001.
In 2000, Jodi joined Cedars Sinai Medical Center where she worked to develop and expand the oncology and lymphedema program in Los Angeles for seven years. Since 2007, she has treated patients with lymphedema, cancer-related dysfunction, and orthopedic issues at Longmont United Hospital in Longmont, Colorado.
In addition to her work as a full-time clinician, Jodi has served as a class instructor for Klose Training & Consulting’s Lymphedema Therapy Certification course since 2000. She is also the author and instructor for one of Klose Training’s most successful continuing education courses, “Breast Cancer Rehabilitation.”
Jodi has taught and presented at courses and conferences across the United States and in Europe on the topics of lymphedema and breast cancer rehabilitation.
